Pricing strategy and Channel Distribution

Table of Contents Pricing strategy Pricing tactics Legal and ethical issues Marketing distribution channel Distribution strategy Reference List Pricing strategy Pricing strategy is an approach to pricing that every marketer is expected to use in relation to the company’s products. Pricing decisions should be critically approached because they play an important role on consumer demand and the competitiveness of a company’s product (Kotler and Armstrong, 2010, p. 32).Advertising We will write a custom report sample on Pricing strategy and Channel Distribution specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More Prices should be effectively determined to maintain a good balance between profits and production. In most occasions, pricing strategy has been based on the costs of production (Kotler and Armstrong, 2010, p. 48). Apart from the costs of production, other external and internal factors should also be considered when coming up wi th a price. As a matter of fact, pricing strategy plays a critical role in product positioning. In addition, it also affects other elements that make up a marketing mix. This means that there are various ways that can be used to determine the price of a given product. Pricing can be either competition based, cost plus, loss leader, market oriented, price leadership, limit, target, absorption, marginal, predatory, price discrimination or psychological pricing (Mohan, 2005, p. 26). A unique thinking cap will therefore apply the best pricing strategy for sustainability. This is because it has a lot of products that need a different approach to pricing. Penetration pricing strategy is mostly used to get a foothold in the market. This strategy is vital for companies that want to enter new markets with established players. In this case, prices are set at low levels to grab customers’ attention. In the long run, they will have more interest in the product. This helps to drive up sal es in the initial stages (Kotler and Armstrong, 2010, p. 47). Skimming pricing strategy sells products at very high prices with a high profit motive. High pricing is normally meant to offset the costs of research and development. This strategy is mostly used in electronic markets. As a matter of fact, it is only used for a limited duration of time before other tactics are employed (Mohan, 2005, p. 31). Pricing tactics Pricing tactics play an important role in product marketing. In this case, they have a direct impact on the competitiveness of a given product. Because companies face competition in the market, they have to keenly observe other products prices to come up with their own tactics (Shimizu, 2009, p. 62). In this case, prices can be the same with competitors’ products or they can be slightly lower. Product line pricing is mostly used when a company has more than one product in its line of products.Advertising Looking for report on business economics? Let's see if we can help you! Get your first paper with 15% OFF Learn More A unique thinking cap has a large product line like other competitors. The company has to compete with other established players like Aderans Co., Ltd. Aderans is the world’s largest manufacturer and distributor of caps and hair products. In addition, a unique thinking cap will also have to compete with Full lace wigs company ltd that specializes in wigs. These companies have different sets of prices to suit diverse segments of the market. Prices range from $ 5 to $ 34 depending on the size and quality of the wig and cap. A unique thinking cap will adopt a unique pricing strategy in relation to different market segments. This is because caps and wigs are used by all age groups. For instance, the company’s prices will range from $ 4 to $ 32 as time goes by. The company has settled on this pricing approach because the market is always changing as competitors adjust their strategies for sustainabili ty. As a matter of fact, the company will be adjusting its prices depending on the prevailing market conditions. Prices should be set after giving the products a different look. As a matter of fact, a product can be dependent on one or the entire product line. This therefore leads to the emergence of different price points (Kotler and Armstrong, 2010, p. 51). Product line pricing should be used throughout the products life cycle. In addition, there should be strong product differentiation for sustainability (Shimizu, 2009, p. 42). Value pricing offers products at reasonable and fair prices. These prices are supposed to make sense to different consumers. This is because customers always want value for their money and this should be reflected in prices (Mohan, 2005, p. 29). Differential pricing can also be called discriminatory pricing. This is because a product ends up having different prices based on the type of customer or even the quantities that have been ordered. Pricing in this case can also be done based on the delivery time and other factors (Shimizu, 2009, p. 51). Legal and ethical issues There are various issues that are directly related to the pricing tactic that a given organization will choose to use. Ethical issues like social equity affect the pricing tactic in abroad way. This can be sliding versus fixed scale fees that will dictate the price. The impact and fairness of the price to the public should also be considered as this will affect consumer demand (Mohan, 2005, p. 36). There might be instances where a company is forced to disclose the costs of production. This will ultimately affect the pricing tactics as there will be a lot of scrutiny on prices. Different countries have laws that guide predatory pricing and this affects a company’s tactics (Kotler and Armstrong, 2010, p. 54). For instance, there are various legal guidelines in predatory pricing for pharmaceutical products to protect consumers.Advertising We will write a cust om report sample on Pricing strategy and Channel Distribution specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More In other markets, there is a minimum pricing enforcement that affects the pricing tactics that a company might intend to use (Mohan, 2005, p. 43). This restricts product pricing within the set limits as violation might attract a lot of penalties (Shimizu, 2009, p. 73). Some countries have Competition acts and this can dictate pricing leaving a company without options in its pricing tactics. Pricing should be done within the law and expected societal ethics. Marketing distribution channel A marketing distribution channel defines the movement of products to the final consumer. Therefore, it is an important element of a given marketing mix (Mohan, 2005, p. 65). A good marketing and distribution channel ensures that products are readily available to the final consumers. As a matter of fact, it is a chain of intermediaries with each of them deliv ering the product down the chain until it reaches the final place (Kotler and Armstrong, 2010, p. 60). This channel can involve wholesalers, distributors and retailers. Although each of them might have his own goals and targets to achieve, they all have a common objective of ensuring that goods reach the final end user (Shimizu, 2009, p. 32). Therefore, in coming up with a marketing distribution channel, the producer should ensure that the needs of the channel members and the end user are attended to. All the chains in a marketing and distribution channel are bound together by the product and therefore end up forming strategic alliances for sustainability (Shimizu, 2009, p. 33). The needs of individual channel members can be different from the final consumer needs. In this case, channel members are more concerned with profit margins and incentives. Distribution strategy A distribution strategy outlines how a company will move products from the point of manufacture to final consumers (Kotler and Armstrong, 2010, p. 54). This should be done in a more effective and cost efficient manner. In a broad perspective, distribution strategy is part of a company’s marketing mix and determines the success of the product in the market (Shimizu, 2009, p. 69). It fits the product and service because customers should get products at the right time and place. Through an effective distribution channel, goods will reach their target destination without any problem and thereby enhance the marketing mix (Kotler and Armstrong, 2010, p. 26). Companies should develop effective distribution channels that will ensure that goods reach their target markets. A target market should be well identified and crafted in a company’s distribution channel for efficiency (Mohan, 2005, p. 23). Because of increased competition, a good distribution strategy should add value to the marketing mix.Advertising Looking for report on business economics? Let's see if we can help you! Get your first paper with 15% OFF Learn More After a company has identified its target market it should market itself well and ensure that consumers can access the product more cost effectively. This can only be achieved through an efficient distribution channel and strategy. Every company has its own marketing objectives as far as its products are concerned (Kotler and Armstrong, 2010, p. 47). As a matter of fact, a company’s marketing objective is to ensure that products reach the market without any problem. After creating awareness about a product, companies strive to ensure that the given product is physically present in the market (Shimizu, 2009, p. 35). This is only achieved through an effective distribution strategy. Wholesomely, a distribution strategy plays an important role in the achievement of a company’s marketing objectives. 5 Clues Its Time to Get a New Job (Before Its Too Late)

5 Clues Its Time to Get a New Job (Before Its Too Late) Most people are totally excited on the first day of a new job. But after a few months (or years), we can start to lose the love a little. Here are 5 ways to tell whether you’re just bored or if you really should look for another job. 1. Your boss is a jerkSeriously. She puts you down, publicly. She blows up at you in front of everyone. She snaps  at you regularly. This is not good boss behavior. Remember, a good boss will do everything they can to help you succeed and encourage you to grow and improve until you’re delivering your best work. This is in her best interest. If your boss is all nasty and no nurture, it may be time to move on.2. You dread workYou come home running on empty- emotionally and physically and mentally exhausted. And the thought of going back in the morning, or on Monday, fills you with dread. If you feel actual knots in your stomach at the idea of going in to work, it might be time to think about a change.3. You’re too busy to breatheYouà ¢â‚¬â„¢re so busy that you only leave the office to shower and sleep (and even then, not for very long). You’re always on your email or your work phone. And weekends? Haven’t had one of those in months.Remember, if you’re this busy there’s no way you’re actually doing good work. You don’t have time to think! Have a conversation with your boss about taking better care of yourself, managing things, delegating perhaps, and about having at least one day off to recharge. If you can’t get these boundaries set up, you should leave before you burn out completely.4. You’re so boredSeriously, you can hardly make it through the day. You’ve started yawning- not because you’re tired, but because your job is so brain-numbingly boring that you can’t focus or stay awake. If you have one of these jobs where management would rather you have your butt in your chair all day than actually be productive, then you might be better off somewhere else.5. You want something differentWanting to move on to something new or different is natural. Maybe you want a new challenge! Or a change of scenery! Keep in mind you might not have to go nuclear to get this. See if there are any positions in different departments within your company. If you could see this solving the problem, it might be easier than a career change. If you listen to yourself and confront your situation honestly, you’ll know when it’s really time to go.

Comprehensive Designer Article Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 250 words

Comprehensive Designer - Article Example A comprehensive designer, according to my belief has to be a designer by profession. This is necessary since involvement in various designing tasks needs to be principally based on the fundamentals of the profession such as stability and safety. In addition to having the credentials in the designing field, they should be able to handle or propose solutions to any design problem. In addition to solving the problem via scientific means, the proposed solutions should be economically viable, which means that solutions should be arrived at with regard to the available skill, material, space and durability. Although the designer may not be specialized to a given field, he or she should have some knowledge that can be passed to the nonprofessionals or students of the career. The comprehensive designer should thus be capable of applying scientific, mathematical, physical, economic, social and practical experience towards solving a problem in the discipline, regardless of the time span the solution is expected to serve (Faste, 2001). It is the designer’s responsibility to link the conceptual and physical worlds, and comprehensiveness is brought about by ensuring the resultant idea is wholesome and in accord with the criterion

Identify one or two coaching or organization challenges significant Research Proposal

Identify one or two coaching or organization challenges significant enough to be the focus of your project - Research Proposal Example In addition, the program is the foremost sports program meant to enhance the life of participants through the game of baseball. In my view, the rating of the program may be placed at 4 on the rating scale of 1 to 5. This is largely found on the view of what is required to aid, manage, and run a local RBI program assisted by volunteer managers or coaches, local financers, sponsors, and most significantly parents or guardians. The Charleston South Carolina Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities Baseball Program aims for brilliance through the mission of the program, which is to promote a diversified minority environment for youth and adults which is accommodating, demanding, friendly, fun and safe. It aims to endure that self-confidence can be nurtured as individuals grow and expand their skills in a wholesome surrounding off and on the field through the game of baseball. Through the mission, there has been a rise in interest, in the program, this year from a large number of participants of diverse backgrounds. As the Director of the program, I have attempted to recruit additional Historically Black Colleges and Universities coaches situated in the state of South Carolina, and hold an interest in recruiting young ones in the RBI program instead of recruiting children from different states. In addition, I aspire to see more professional and college scouts at our yearly RBI South East Regional. This is largely because not every child in the RBI program will be included or considered in the RBI national team list. They may also be missed with regard to their talent capacities. Nevertheless, the RBI scholarship program has turned out to be successful for learners who not have the capacity to pursue a professional or colligate baseball career, but have the academic capacities. The program has a former RBI participant who successfully accomplished the program and will be graduating at the Citadel Military College during the spring of 2013. The participant will be the foremo st recipient to receive the RBI for RBI scholarship, and graduate college. Moreover, this year, the program attracted 30 players who made up two teams, one, the junior team which comprised participants aged between 13 and 15 years, and, two, the senior team comprised participant aged between 16 and 18 years. The teams had to give a special request to take part in the South East Regional Tournament. Presently, there is a feeder system made up of children aged between 4 and 12 years through the Little International Charter which is made up of five teams, 2 Tee ball teams, 1 Coach Pitch team, 1 Boys Majors team 9-12 and 1 Girls softball team 9-12. Also, currently, the little league program has 4 players moving from the boys major team of 9-12 years to the RBI junior boys team of 13-15 years. We are also developing the girls softball team from the feeder system through the little league program. Nevertheless, there are a number of challenges which exist when contrasting this program wit h other rival programs and getting parents to assist and support the values of the RBI program domestically and countrywide. One, the program is facing stiff competition from rival programs. Therefore, due to the challenges posed by rival programs it has been demanding to create more than a single team in each age division. It has been largely argued that competition can make an organization, entity,

Principales Temas Essay Example for Free

Loss of Innocence in To Kill a Mockingbird Essay

â€Å"Maycomb was an old town, but it was a tired old town when I first knew it. In rainy weather the streets turned to red slop; grass grew on the sidewalks, the courthouse sagged in the square.† This environment as Scout Finch accurately describes is not the best or conducive place for young children, loud noises, and games. In the same way as the children, the adults of the novel played games that came from their imaginations, and they themselves are the ones who provided the fear for everyone. As most children do Jem, Scout, and their newly-found friend Dill find amusements to make the days pass by with excitement. When they first met Dill at the beginning, the day’s play is in the backyard. The implication is that it becomes routine for them to play and that each day brings a different experience. When Dill joins them in their daily adventures, they begin to create more elaborate activities. Many days they spent improving the treehouse, and acting out parts of plays by Oliver Victor Appleton, and Edgar Rice Burroughs. There games of Tom Swift the Rover Boys, and The Ghost are the sources of their pleasures for hours and days upon end. Once these games seem rot and overplayed they decide to make Boo Radley come out. Thus the â€Å"Boo Radley†, plays begin. These plays are simply for amusement in the end, they teach Jem, Scout, and Dill lessons about respect, courage, and understanding. The â€Å"Boo†, games begin with a simple dare that Jem has to carry out in order to gain respect from his sister and friend. Scout and Jem both learn about courage through the first Boo game they invented by testing their levels of fear. The game has turned into a dangerous, scary expedition that leaves all three of them shaken. Boo’s unspoken, unseen presence at the fire put him in a new light in Jem’s and Scout’s eyes. Yet again, they see reality and their games slowly fading and losing their meaning. The burning house and Boo’s reappearance show Jem and Scout more pieces of reality and causing them to push that much closer to reality and the adult world and that much more of their innocence and childhood is lost. As the trial crept closer, Scout and Jem each have to test their self-control in accepting or ignoring the multitudes of â€Å"nigger-lover† comments coming their way, by adults as well as children. Scout ends up losing all control when she beats up her cousin Francis, for testing her patience by criticising others. Though Scout doesn’t totally understand her mistake until her uncle Jack, punishes and guides Scout to realization. Jem, of his own fault, has to read to Mrs. Dubose every day and eventually he learns an important lesson. Jem and Scout learn about death and they gain an understanding for the type of person Mrs. Dubose is when they see how her views on life have an effect on her death. The adult games have been going on for a while but Scout and Jem are just beginning to see the games evolving. The most difficult matter for Jem and Scout to understand soon comes to be the trial. Though they have been faced with ignorant people calling them â€Å"nigger-lovers†, they haven’t truly had a full understanding of the slang term until the trial is upon them. Scout, Jem, and Dill experience a faint taste of the adult’s games’ flavor, watching from afar as the mob of common men around Maycomb County gather around Atticus, threatening his and Tom’s lives. Scout still in her innocence, breaks the crowd by recognizing Mr. Cunningham and she, proceeds to praise his son Walter without thought to the fact that Mr. Cunningham realizes that he is a father, not just part of a nameless mob, and, in a sense, he â€Å"walks around in Atticus’s skin† for a moment. The individualizing Scout has done humanizes the originally dehumanized mob and ends the threat to many lives at stake. Scout does not realize the extent of her actions until later on and the understanding raises her up a level of maturity. The game that the men are playing puts lives at risk and shows Scout that adults play with strange sets of rules. She reaches an understanding in the jailhouse scene that still continues to push her into the adult world.

Puppy Love Essay

Every day there are animals that are abused and neglected by heartless individuals. We live by the quote, â€Å"A dog is a man’s best friend†. But how is it that one can do such horrid things to a best friend? Puppy mills, animal hoarders, and careless owners are only a few of the biggest contributors to this horrifically criminal act. It breaks my heart to drive to school everyday and be greeted by an animal out on the road flatter than a pancake, or just roaming around looking for scraps of food and darting away anytime a little kid sticks its head out and shouts, â€Å"Oh, what a cute doggy!† And around where I live it is, sadly, an everyday scene. My next door neighbors, whom I classify to be careless pet owners, exemplify what I see everywhere. Their house is falling apart on top of them. The sewer tank leaks and feeds the steroid-like pricker plants that cover most of the backyard. They have 3 puppies of different breeds, from the same mother. I know, it sounds improbable, but I had seen the mother a few times before, when I drove past their house. Let me tell you, she was not the cutest dog on the planet! Anyhow, after discovering my neighbors had puppies in their backyard, it came to mind that I had not seen the mother dog running around for the last few days. I asked with concern, â€Å"Where is their mother?† My neighbor replied with, â€Å"She died†. I found that statement hard to believe. She was so protective that I found that statement very hard to believe. That claim seemed to be vastly illogical. So anyway, for the past 3 months; give or take; my family and I have been setting out fresh water everyday, because we know that they hop the wall either to explore or leave us â€Å"little presents† all over the front yard. Two of the puppies have long fur, which has become matted in several places around their bodies. In addition, on a regular basis; my mom has to cut the prickers that have become entangled in their little paws, around their lips, and buried in their belly. It is very traumatizing to have to see them live in this†¦ well I guess you could consider it to be a sewer pit. Over the summer I had volunteered over at the community animal shelter out of my desire to help out with the animals. Upon my arrival to Pet Guardian Angel, what I thought was going to be a very rewarding experience; where I felt that I was contributing to a good cause, became to be very disheartening. There were so many animals stuck in cages, in their own filth, terrified of human contact and so needy of the human contact they were afraid of. The smell of ammonia made my eyes water and made me feel slightly unwell for several hours after I left the premises. I wondered what the chances were that these helpless beings would find a loving home out here, where the bulk of their peers lived in the same ugly circumstances. Not very good. I left depressed and uncertain if I wanted to come back, but feeling guilty for considering not going back. I feel a great passion for dogs, in particular, who, through no fault of their own, live in filth and know no human kindness for their entire lives. I also feel a great sense of futility. This won’t change until people change their hearts and stop thinking of just themselves, and start unselfishly putting the welfare of the helpless first.

60 Compelling Argumentative Essay Topics

60 Compelling Argumentative Essay Topics Everyone likes to argue- whether they like to admit it or not. But when it comes to the time when its actually appropriate to take a side and passionately defend it (an argumentative essay in your writing class), you might be finding it difficult to think of what to argue. An effective argumentative essay will have the reader questioning what they think about a topic and maybe even potentially change their minds. A really effective argumentative essay might also make the reader angry because theyre broaching topics that can be deeply personal to many.Whatever kind of argument you choose to write about, always be sure to back up your claims with good research and facts. Though you can definitely have an opinion in this essay, your argument will always be more credible with facts than just by going on how you feel. Facts, in the end, will always win out against how people are feeling at a particular moment. When you find yourself getting stuck on what to write, take a look at these idea s for argumentative essays for some inspiration for your paper, or to expand on these ideas and create your own topic. What makes a good essay topic?Though you may know what format, style guide, and whether or not the essay should be double spaced, you may be confused on what actually makes a good essay topic. While it may be easier to write an essay on something that is easy to agree on (like the fact that George Clooney is a very handsome man), theres just really not a lot of interest in the topic because this is something everyone already knows to be true. What were looking for in an argumentative essay topic is something that might expand peoples minds and allow them to look at a topic in a new light. The idea isnt necessarily to convince them of your side (though of course that would be ideal!), but is really just to get them to expand their mind just enough that theyre starting to think about things from another perspective.Youd be surprised at what years of social and cultural influences, education, and just plain stubbornness can do to make a person adamant that their side and opinion is right. Argumentative essay topics are so important because they are debatable- and its crucial to always be critically thinking about the world around us. Why do we do things a certain way? Is it because its right or is it because this is what weve always known? To constantly be questioning and arguing and thinking is really the true sign of learning. As we start to think about that idea, here are a few ideas to get you started on your own essay.Education essay topicsEducation is a topic that definitely affects each and every one of us. With less than 100 years of suffrage, women have certainly accomplished a lot when it comes to equality. However, according to many scholars and activists there is still a long way to go. With a subject thats sure to ignite some passion, there are endless topics to write about, but here are a few that we suggest.Should abortion be legal?Should religious institutions have to provide birth control me thods for their female employees, even if it goes against their religion?Should the morning after pill be legal?Women statistically do not make as much money doing the same work as their male counterpart. How do you feel about this? Many say that legal prostitution is a womens rights issue. Its completely changed the way we work, think, and communicate with each other. Many people are huge fans of new gadgets and rapidly advancing technology, but others are ore wary of it. There are always a wide range of opinions on the subject of technology, and here are our favorite things to think about on the topic. Is an increased dependence on technology making us dumber?Should students be allowed to use smart phones in school? How do smart phones and tablets affect growth and development in children?Do you think technology has decreased or increased our communication with each other? Is print media dead?Do comment sections on social media and news sites actually promote good discourse?Technology has made a lot of manual labor obsolete. How do you feel about this? What should blue collar workers do when their job has replaced them with better technology? How should policy makers respond?Has online dating killed traditional ideas about romance and marriage?Do you believe that the government should enforce net neutrality principles on internet service providers?Society and culture essay topicsThere are always things we wish would chang e about the society that we live in. Nothing is ever perfect, but we all still strive to make where we live to be the best it can be. The problem is that everyones interpretation of what makes a good society is different. Some people live their lives according to their religion while others dont think you should factor that into decision making when it comes to determining rules for everyone.Should sex education be required for all public schools? How do you feel about the Black Lives Matter movement?Do you think that affirmative action is still necessary?Should you be forced to say the pledge of allegiance at school?Should it be illegal to burn the American flag? How do you feel about groups like Westboro Baptist Church who are known to say hate speech being able to protest?Do you think collegiate athletes should be paid? Can committers of sex crimes be rehabilitated?Do you think the Electoral College should go away?Should the United States have one official language?Write about what you are passionateWhen it comes to writing an argumentative essay, the most important thing to do is to choose a topic and an argument that you can really get behind. Not only will this make the writing a whole lot better, but it will also keep you more focused when you are researching and writing. Though its unlikely youre going to have fiery passion about every subject you write on, pick the topic and side that most suits you. No reader wants to read a lukewarm argumentative piece. The reader wants to be persuaded and provoked. This wont happen if it appears you are disinterested in what youre writing about. If youve read through this list and youre still not finding a topic that fits what you are interested in, be sure to ask your instructor or a librarian for help with researching and writing an argumentative essay. Of course, if you have written an essay and youre not sure that its going in the right direction, seek out the guidance of classmates or other writers or get professi onal help from an editor.

Tikal Research Paper Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words

Tikal - Research Paper Example The temple pyramids were made of limestone blocks and lorded over other surrounding structures. Lattice of stone were also added in Maya roof comb to make it as a grand-looking edifice. Figure 2. The Mayan civilization (Schele & Mathews, 1999). Architects considered the Maya site in Tikal of Guatemala as most extraordinary construction of buildings as a work of art. The site is imposed with temples of the Giant Jaguar (ca. A.D. 700), Masks (ca. A.D. 699), and the North Acropolis (Canadian Museum of Civilization, 2010a). It was believed that at the core of the Giant Jaguar temple is a high priest’s tomb with hundreds of vases and jade as offerings. A quiet sanctuary was also built intended for worshipper at the top of the nine-tiered pyramid (Canadian Museum of Civilization, 2010a; Totten, 1926). The rooms in these temples are accordingly narrow and design for ritual or ceremonial activities only. Some perceived that the design and alignment of these rooms are significant and m ight have meanings too. Other eye-catching structures in the city are palaces in single-storey platforms with several rooms and with interior courtyards (Canadian Museum of Civilization, 2010b). The nunnery in Uxmal also looked like a palace (Canadian Museum of Civilization, 2010b). ... These structures are magnificently and impressively beautifying its plazas and courtyards. Architecture considered the Mayan city structures as expressive of sophisticated decoration of arts, carvings, and wall paintings of ancient symbols (Ching, Jarzombek, & Prakash, 2011). Those building are interconnected by roads made of stones, also known as causeways. Experts criticized that Maya city was built in an apparently unplanned manner and they observed that temples and palaces were torn but rebuilt repetitively in many centuries (Lees, 2011). Probably because local residents are incline to preserve these historic sites for tourism and for cultural reasons. Architects also described the site as wielded with defensive earthworks, especially those cities historically known to be resided by ancient Mayan civilization (Lees, 2011; Falk, 2012). For them, these protective walls are quiet unusual but they also thought that this could be a significant part of the conflict situations they had in those epoch (Lees, 2011). The Mayan civilization is prominent with its intricate but most accurate calendar system with such calculations that jibe with the solar years in tropical regions of the world (Dumois, 2012). They were combined geologists and astronomers who sourced their understanding of their relation to the world by seeking guidance to the movements and developments of heavenly body, like the sun, moon, stars and planets. They had their observatories, shadow-casting. Inspired by their studies of the celestial and astrological realities, they are able to make their Mayan calendar based on their chronicles. Experts opined that the constructions of their buildings are attuned with
